IN MATH: 1. n. the key or menu of keys which automatically change a calculator's graphic or tabular window. 2. v. the action of creating a different graphical or tabular viewing window through the use of the ZOOM key on a calculator. EX. In using the graph of a curve to find the equation's roots, it is sometimes necessary to ZOOM in on the axis.

IN ENGLISH: 1. n. a feature on a camera which automatically changes the focus. EX. Joh's new camera as a fantastic zoom lense. 2. n. a noise. EX. "Zooom, zoom" went the little car as it raced its engine.
