IN MATH: 1. adj. with reference to polygons, one in which at least one diagonal is in the exterior of the polygon. EX. Is the polygon concave or convex? 2. adj. in referring to curves, shaped like a letter u or c, curved "in" on itself. EX. Is the parabola concave up or concave down?
