Graphing with Manipulatives & Exploring Functions through the Use of Manipulatives
To represent an expression or function, a manipulative is placed on the Coordinate Plane.
To solve an equation, two manipulatives are used - one for each expressions (one for each "side" of the equation). Their intersection is the solution.
Select the desired expression or equation.
Represent the Expression or Expression:
distance from zero
distance from one
distance from two
The distance from zero is one.
distance from negative two
The distance from one is two.
The distance from zero is negative one.
three less than the opposite of the distance from negative two
