How to Build A Table

    It takes 8 tags -- 4 sets of paired tags ordered in a specific way -- to make an "empty" web page.   The file containing the tags must be saved with .htm as the last part of the file name.   To fill in the page, other tags and attributes (features) are used to add in color, links, paragraphs, tables, and pictures.

    This page describes step by step how to make the page, add stuff to it, and use other web pages at this site as reference in building your own pages.

Algebra Notes: Thursday 3/30/00

I. How to solve -x = 3
1st: Think about a similar problem: solve 5x = 6
What did they do to the x?
They multiplied by 5.
What do you do to the x?
Divide by 5.
5x = 6
5x/5 = 6/5
x=6/5
2nd: Use the same strategy. solve -x = 3
What did they do to the x?
They multiplied by -1.
What do you do to the x?
Divide by -1.
-x = 6
-x/(-1) = 6/(-1)
x=-6
II. Take a Quiz on Solving Equations.
III. Test on Chapters 2 and 3 on Tuesday.
